He has a good eye for lesser touted players. Wade was a nobody in HS. And Oladipo also was just a 3* recruit. Wade especially gushes over Crean. Og Anunboy or however it's spelled. Another 3* he helped develop and turn into a 1st round pick.

He's signed his fair share of top tier recruits and McD's AAs. Zeller. Ferrel. Blackmon. Thomas Bryant. Maybe more. Idk every single recruit. But they were all McD AAs.

Steve Novak was another guy who played for him. Idk how highly recruited he was. But he was another decent NBA player
