Yeah ...

That and the fact Duke had a horseshoe up their rear end all weekend.

In their 2nd game, they were out of it and gone, down 8-1 vs Campbell when that lightning bolt came literally out of the blue. After that hour and a half weather delay, Campbell really and truly forgot how to play baseball and could not get Duke out. They scored 2 in the 7th, 2 in the 8th, then 11 in the 9th in one of the more painful things I have ever seen on television. Duke won 16-8.

Then in the 1st game yesterday, they were down a run in the 6th with one out and on an 0-2 pitch, the ump called a ball on what was clearly the 3rd strike. Next pitch the guy barely dribbles a hit between 1st & 2nd. After a walk and a strikeout, the next guy doubles scoring the tying run. We should have been out of the inning without giving up a run, and perhaps more importantly not making two pitching changes. True they homered twice in the next inning, but not sure they would have done so vs Proctor. But in any case, that one bad call had a huge impact on the game. From the moment of that call, until the end of game 2, we looked like a completely different team.
