Kirby's team needs to learn how to handle road game noise/atmosphere
I think that Kirby made a little too much about the LSU atmosphere/noise before the game. Maybe the team worried about it too much. Who knows? Three blowouts in three years on the road at SEC West teams is a problem that needs to be solved.
While I think that must of the problem at LSU was poor play calling , we did look out of sorts. We didn't have false starts, etc like a lot of teams do in a loud stadium. Probably had a lot of problems with check-offs and defensive alignment changes though.
LSU is a strange place. Most of their fan base is fun loving, friendly and polite. A higher percentage than normal though is in your face rude, especially when they win. Maybe I should have stayed off of Dalrymple Road and the frat houses LOL.
I've been there 6 times now and you never know what to expect.
The tailgating is great, but I don't ever want to hear about litter on campus in Athens after a game again. Trash was ankle deep in some spots on campus.
Oh well. we don't go there for another 12 years.
BTW, as impressive as the noise was Saturday I think Auburn was louder and crazier last year.
We've got to learn to take control of the game and take the crowd out of it.
