Kirby is in this for the long haul. Wants to protect his future rather than panic. He and his entire staff see both daily, film every throw and move each make, and analyze them ad infinitum. That staff includes "analysts" who don't coach but are experienced and spend ALL of their time evaluating. They know how often each QB farts and how bad it stinks.

Starting Fields if he is not showing he deserves the start would be disasterous to his program.
