A GOOD day for Foorball? or am I being too harsh?

The Announcement has been made. Urban Meyer publicly announced to "Retire."

I think that if he truly "retires" - it is good for football.
If an entity gets better when a good person joins, is the converse also true? Does that same entity also get better when a bad person departs?

Or, am I being too harsh.
He allowed his problems to happen but I don't think that he was the direct cause. To me it was more indirect.
He is said to have medical issues but when I also have medical issues I don't use them as an excuse.

Is he now "reaping the whirlwind" - or am I wrong?

Your reply is sincerely appreciated!
