Is Pruitt's Philsophy Better Saban/Smart against spread?

Pruitt wanted slim down faster Outside LB's and DE while all of Bama's front 7 were big hulky guys that all seemed a step slow in chasing Watson last night. (all but #10 Foster, of course he was interior LB)

Spread QB's with speed (Cam, Manzell, and Watson) all shredded Bama's defenses with 5 star defensive guys all over place. Of course these guys shredded other teams as well.

Pruitt's philosophy of having guys like Floyd, Jenkins and Carter seem to make more sense than the bulky DE 's last night that seemed to be running in quick sand chasing Watson. Will be interesting to see if either change their philosophy.
