I was watching the nfl playoffs Sunday and it struck me how conservative

The NFL is. The nfl guys can be more conservative I think because they can expect their offenses to execute more consistently. By comparison, college OC's seem to be much more aggressive and frankly creative, perhaps by necessity. They need to take more chances because a higher % of plays won't be executed at a high level. I wonder if this is actually so and if so, if I t was a significant factor in Scotty's failure as a college OC.
