I like the concept of,...
single payer and I'm not an opponent of ACA. I happen to work in the Healthcare field and have seen, first hand what the "old way" has done to the system. It will take a decade or more to flesh out whether ACA is a success or not.
I'm not certain there is much of an alternative other than private sector or Fed oversight . The private sector did as they always do, line their pockets, blow up premiums and make healthcare so expensive that one mishap can bankrupt a family. The jury is out on ACA and really, no one should be opining as to the success or failures of ACA, not yet. It's just too early to tell.
Personally, I want the POTUS and Congress to dig deep into Corporate/Rich Welfare. The "entitlements" that get most of the media time are a tiny sliver of the Feds budget when compared to the "free stuff" we give big corporations and the 1%ers. Level the playing field, invest in our failing infrastructure and middle class and watch the economy explode!
