Yeah, I agree with you on red meat...
I think it's OK as long as we eat in moderation. The nutrients that humans need are mostly in vegetables & fruit. Meat isn't as nutrient-dense, and therefore isn't as good for us. Also, as you mentioned, the food industry does all sorts of processes on meat that adds to the problems. If the average person would reverse the % of calories they get between F&V vs meat, we'd be a lot better off as a nation.
