He certainly appears to have the drive and intensity, as well coaching ability, at least as a defensive coach. Also Tennessee has great tradition, facilities, fan support etc. And with the sorta cyclical nature of things UT is way overdue for an upcycle.

On the other hand UT is no longer the turnkey operation that we've always felt/known uga to be. he's gonna have to find a way to create some magic/buzz to get the ball rolling.

Fulmer as AD seems to be a complicating factor. I just have a hard time seeing those two coexisting in their current roles.

UTs best run - the late 90s - came when two of its biggest rivals were way down. Pruitt is going to be competing year on year with Alabama who isn't going anywhere, and UGA who really appears to be heading towards some glory years. It's not going to be easy for him at all.
