I have always felt UGA is a historically bad to mediocre program. It's hard to change that much history overnight. We generally have to choose between the mid major coach of the minute (Felton) or some next-big-thing assistant (Quin Snyder anybody?) - neither of which is a slam dunk. If we DO get a winner (Tubby) there is the real chance of him being poached by a traditional power. So changing coaches every three years is not a good strategy. My biggest concern has been that we need to be very patient with any coach who's not a total disaster (like Jirsa), and we've been very patient with Fox. I have low expectations for UGA basketball but the OCCASIONAL thrill, as in a tournament run, is necessary.
