This is certainly an interesting thread
hell any sustained conversation is good around here these days
1. my life is kind of an opposite to psybj. i grew up in BR and all my family is LSU grads/fans. we lived in Athens a couple of years when i was a kid and UGA football became my first love and i have never relinquished it. I've lived in Athens 20 years now, right up from Butts Mehre. But i also pull hard for LSU and have been to Tiger Stadium many times. When UGA plays LSU that game is always fun but murder on my nerves.
2. I agree with the overall analysis of the relative strengths of LSU vs FLA vs UGA. Although I'm not sure at this point in time UGA has significantly better players than LSU. I think that's something that has to be proven on the field and UGA just did not do it. We lack significant stoppers on D and have not developed go-to folks on O, and LSU seems to have both.
3. I appreciate Red's analysis, but it may be a bit over simplified as to who was open when. But the point is well taken overall. Fromm had a terrible game and we missed a lot of opportunities.
4. The bottom line is we should have stuck with the running game more. (imo). i had some contact with Cortez Hankton, our receivers coach this week at my work. I was tempted to rib him about that but I know that's the last thing he wanted to hear so i bit my tongue.
5. LSU ain't getting no shot at nobody. Bama is going to drag the field with them, and whoever else they play this year, including us, so it's a moot point.
