Fields == Poison Pill
The little bit of transcript from Mathis' father seems to suggest that there might have been some divisive behavior from Fields. CKS does not tolerate that crap very long.
"“Dwan understands the program and the role he has been recruited for, to learn from the current quarterback and not be divisive or cause any problems. He respects the head coach and Coach (Jim) Chaney and he is ready to come in and put his head down and go to work.”
Terrence Mathis said the main attraction for his son at Georgia is the opportunity to grow with a team competing for multiple national championships.
“Dwan is a student of the game, and he saw what Georgia did last season, and how they’ve been a play away from national championships,” Terrence Mathis said. “He’s been to Georgia and liked it, so when he told me he talked to Georgia I said ‘get the coaches on the phone.’
“I talked to the offensive coordinator, Coach Chaney, and I was sold. Our family is thankful for this blessed opportunity to be a part of Georgia.” "
