What this article misses...
At LSU the most impressive thing is the crowd OUTSIDE the game.
When LSU stadium held 92k, for one game the crowd on campus was estimated as 200k. The campus is full of TVs and stoves and whatever, a mass of humanity. Every game is a huge party. I know many who tailgate, then hurry home to watch the game. Also many who stay and drink watching TVs outside the stadium. Usually there are extra tickets that anyone might use, often not used.
When the DAWGS played there last season I was joined by the biggest visiting fan turnout ever in RED. I visit 3 tailgates before games, 2 of them had quite a few DAWGS.
