I don´t know how many of you were around in 1982 but Georgia´s win at Auburn yesterday reminded me of how that game in ´82 ended with Auburn rallying and making a last gasp attempt to win. There are some differences between the situations, for one, if Auburn scores in 1982 that would have given them the lead. But Georgia held, won 19-14, and Larry Munson had one of his most memorable game calls of his entire works.

In fact, I recall a story where an elderly woman was driving that day in 1982 and turned WSB radio on in her car she just happened to tune in right as Munson was calling the last portion of the game. She had to pull over and stop her car because she wasn´t quite sure what exactly was happening and how serious this development was. LOL, classic Munson. I know exactly what I was doing that day in November of 1982, I recall it because it was a wedding day and several men came out to the car during the reception afterwards to catch an update of the score. There are the end, we had a car full of guys in tuxedos guzzling beer and rooting for Georgia to "...hunker it down ONE MORE TIME..."

We are looking at a unique situation. This defense is capable of getting the job done, but if you want to be a champion you have to have UNRIVALED COMMITMENT from your entire program, including fans and supporters. I hope our fan base knows where we might be going, and can get their minds right about that possibility and go and support fully this team.

Having said all that, we must turn out attention to our next opponent,Texas A&M. The Aggies just clobbered South Carolina 30-6, including 319 rushing yards against a defense we could not move. The proper sense is to appreciate that accomplishment as not even Bama so efficiently beat the the Gamecocks like that.
