Where do you all think Georgia finished if and it is a big IF in 2019 UGA:

*Returned and played both Riley Ridley and JJ Holloman?
*Returned and played Isaac Nauta?
*Had no injuries at WRs?

Do you think our offense would have been THAT much better?

I am not sure about SEC C or CFP better, but I do think the offense would have been better.
However, even at its most optimal, I think we would have been looking at something like 2018 good, because our runningbacks in 2017 were not only ***HELL ON WHEELS better*** but UGA also deployed a fullback that year.

So, in the finale, I think we may have been in the same position as 2018, better on offense but not quite the kind to have won the SEC in a shootout with LSU nor with any of the CFP teams, including Oklahoma. Oklahoma might have been the only team we´d have beaten, but in watching how Clemson came after Justin Fields, I could only imagine how many times they would have sacked Jake Fromm.

Well, this is all speculative, but the point that is coming into clarity is no matter how good your defense might be, if your offense is not dynamic enough to push the opposing team, it is just going to be hard to keep up. Even if we had the great backfield of 2017 plus Gurley, and the WRs of 2017 plus a healthy Cager, Blaylock and Pickens...it is just hard to see this style of offense being dynamic enough to keep pace.
