In the 1st half, we had a penalty on every offensive possession except the one we threw the pick on. Sometimes several penalties. Holding, False Start, Illegal formation. It's hard enough to have to gain 15 yards for a 1st, but when you have to gain 20 or 25 yards, you're gonna punt more often than not. It was the 1st half of the season, on the road, with a new offensive system, with no spring. Take a breath.

In the 2nd half, we had only ONE penalty on the offense, and that was the ONLY 2nd half possession that we didn't score on (except taking a knee at the end). We DOMINATED the 2nd half 32-3, and their 3 was only because we fumbled.
