Quote: ‘Every guy on our team is a potential corner-back right now’ I read this quote today and felt sad. Our DBs need both recruiting and player development EMPHASIS and in year 6 - it is lacking. Of all possible DB roles players can be recruited and developed for Cover Corner-backs stand out above the rest. An elite or near elite CB may be able to fit in as a Free Safety or Strong Safety or a Nickel role, dime Dime role, etc. but the reverse was rarely true and is far less valid.

We need enough EMPHASIS to recruit and develop 2 elite, or near elite CBs every year, without exception. The rational can be summed up in one word, ATTRITION. And the Transfer Portal adds one more way we can loose what we have right now.
