Without him, UGA probably has 2 losing seasons the last 2 years instead of 2 straight 20 win seasons. He has not played as well this season, but for some reason, he also has not been as aggressive this season. He's taking less shots per game. Somehow he is also playing less minutes per game, which is really mind boggling given UGA's lack of depth. UGA was at their best the last 2 years when he was aggressive. Lowering his shoulder and taking the ball to the basket. He is very good when he gets to the rim. You either get a layup, get fouled, have Maten's guy come over for help having an open Maten on the blocks for a dunk, or have the perimeter D close in leaving Gaines/JJ open for a 3. And when you play zone, get him the ball at the foul line. Gets him in position for the same thing. To penetrate and score/get fouled. Draw a block defender freeing Maten/Ogbeide or causing the perimeter D to collapse him leaving Gaines/JJ open. Fox seems to be very concerned with UGA running his offensive scheme and making sure that happens. But when you have a guy like Charles Mann, he is a guy that just has to go out and play ball.
