Derek Mason should be fired tonight.

His QB Shurmer leads them on an 11-play 70 yd drive for a TD to put them up 10-0, hitting some key passes & getting in a nice rhythm.

Then the very next series, SC punts them on the 5-Yd line, and he takes out Shurmer to put in another guy, cold off the bench, on the 5, & Shurmer had just got hot. WTF? 3 & out.

Then next series, they start inside their 10 again, same guy. 3 & out.

They went 3 & out the rest of the half & Shurmer was off the rest of the game when he finally got back in.

It's complete crass idiotic decisions like this that make me laugh whenever somebody wants to gush about how brilliant professional FB coaches are, and how we mere mortals aren't worthy of questioning them.

Mason should be looking for a DC gig tomorrow morning.
