But I'm wondering how often that scenario would happen against Nichols State? My guess is that both he and Lambert are gonna have a lot of time to throw to open receivers. But your point is spot on.

Another thing in Lambert's defense, is he had at least one drop which would have extended a drive. I think it was the first play of the 2nd quarter. We had 2nd & 12 at about our own 23, and Lambert hit Nauta in the hands in stride with a perfect pass that would have gotten a 1st down. But after the drop, next play we had a pass tipped, then punted back to UNC. UNC scored their first TD on that possession, so if Nauta makes that catch, you never know what happens.
