The OL sucks. We have other OL and they're worse. We can't pass because we can't run and because the receivers can't catch or get open. The QB is a freshman that is going to make mistakes but isn't being helped much by the former issues. That's the offensive reality. The former staff talked about protecting the DB's with our pass rush and the current staff immediately warned about their talent level. All of the roster management and recruiting issues the fans have been talking about for the last few years are coming to roost now. Of course there is talent but there are glaring holes at key spots. Doesn't mean they should struggle against Nichols. That's new staff, new scheme, new way of doing things stuff you get when you turn over the staff. Also doesn't mean the team should melt down like today. The staff has to find a way to motivate these players until it gets the players it needs. In that regard, it's on the staff to figure out how to get more out of what it has no matter how it may be limited.
