Miles, like Richt, had a lot of success recruiting. But both were never able to put a complete roster on the field. Richt failed to have great talent and depth on the LOS (which most likely cost him a national title in 2012), and Miles failed to have a QB(which probably cost him a 2nd title on a team which could have gone down as the greatest in college football history). He inherited both Russell and Flynn from Saban... He never got a QB on campus. 1 solid year of Mettenberger, but happened to be the only year in which his D was in a transition year when they lost Eric Reid, and Mingo and Montgomery etc.
