with our issues, it probably would have only prolonged the anticipation. This next game will likely define the season. If we can't shake the UT game and beat SCU, the season is indeed in the tank. But if our guys get mad and take some frustration out on the cocks, it could still be a decent, albeit non-championship season. Did anyone really expect a championship this year? Heck, most folks thought we'd be sitting at 3-2 right now. We got there a little differently than expected but I'm downright encouraged by what I saw for 59 minutes and 50 seconds Saturday. Offense was clearly more comfortable and productive. Defense played OK for the most part - much improvement from the DL and a decent improvement from the secondary. Heck, even the OL looked better and we knew they'd have a problem with pass protect vs UT. As bitter a loss as I've ever seen but honestly this game was all that I said I wanted to see from this team this year - effort and improvement. Yeah, I got sucked into dreaming of more at the end of the game but we're about where we should be.
