an academic issue here. Interesting. Do players really chose other schools because UGA academics are harder? We have great academic support for the athletes. I know because I was part of the system way back when and it has increased 10X since I was on campus. The only SEC school ranked higher than UGA in academics are Vandy and UF but UF is only a few spots so is in a virtual tie. Most of the other schools are not even close and AU and USCe are far far back in the rankings...not even in the same solar system. Other nearby competition is Clemson, which is a few spots behind us and GT which is around 20 spots ahead of us. When you consider the difference in class size, UGA holds its own with any public school in the nation. So does it really impact choices for players because of academics?
