Similar clock issue in Duke-Clemson game

Anybody watching the Duke-Clemson game?

At about the 16 minute mark, Clemson put up a shot with about 10 seconds left on the shot clock. The shot missed but DID hit the rim, but the shot clock DID NOT reset. Clemson got the rebound after a bit of a scramble, but had to force a shot as the shot clock wound down. They missed at the buzzer and the refs ruled a shot clock violation, so it was Duke ball. Before the in-bounds, they took the under 16 timeout. During the timeout, they reviewed the video and determined the first shot clearly hit the rim. Since the shot clock should have reset, the refs gave Clemson the ball (instead of Duke) following the timeout, with 19 seconds on the shot clock.

The game is on Duke’s home court, but Clemson got the benefit of the doubt on the clock malfunction. Other than it being a shot clock vs game clock, how is this ruling different from ours vs A&M?
