That's fine, but a lot of people would
Football ain't got much to do with it. Athens is close enough to Atlanta, that if UGA had a winning BB team - which we are in a MUCH better situation to do than Bama is - we'd pack the place on the regular.
Look at Florida. When football was winning big with Spurrier and the crier, Donovan still packed the O'Connell Center most every home game. And just like football, they never had ANY hoops tradition before the early 90s. And there are more UGA fans within an hour or so drive to Athens than Gator fans to Gainesville. But I digress.
Anyway, Bama got no excuse. They're having a good (not great) year, it was the last home game of the season, and the few people who were there didn't seem to care much about the game they came to watch. Georgia crowds are way better. At least our fans who do show up make noise when appropriate.
