I think every year the RPI is becoming more irrelevant


It shows absolutely nothing. Georgia has a better RPI than Marquette. I mean... Makes no sense. I think it will be completely obsolete in the next 5-10 years.

Georgia needs QUALITY wins. At Arkansas is a start. And win the 1st game of the SEC tourney. I agree it puts UGA in the conversation. But the conversation in my opinion means "let's see if they can beat South Carolina/Arkansas in the quarters and then we'll maybe take their resume seriously for an at large." If somehow they can win that and then go and beat Florida/Kentucky in the Semis and then lose in the finals to Florida/Kentucky, they might be a legit at large team then.

But UGA's top 50 RPI is meaningless. And "almost" winning games is meaningless. The fact that Kansas St, or Tech or Syracuse is mediocre or whatnot, they're all mediocre. That is why they're all on the bubble. But which of the mediocre teams has been able to go and beat the good and great teams? Unfortunately for UGA, not them
