We gotta learn late-game offense
We're up 3 with the ball and a minute to go. That's a one possession lead, with Tennessee guaranteed at least one possession. How do we play it? JJ wastes about 10~12 seconds dribbling near half-court while no one moves, sets a screen, cuts to the hoop, or anything, and then JJ puts up a horrible shot with about 10 seconds on the shot clock. Pitiful.
In that situation, you just need to run your offense looking for a good look. Be aggressive, but patient. Make the defense work. Odds are you'll either get a look, or draw a foul. If you get a look early, go up 5 with 40-50 seconds left. But don't just waste the time. If you never get a look or a foul, THEN you can heave up a prayer, but not before 1 or 2 on the shot clock.
