There's a difference between making the NIT year 1

when you're supposed to finish dead last and making the NIT year 8 when you're supposed to make the NCAA Tournament. Having 2 of the best players in program history and both making 1st team All SEC, and then failing to make the NCAA Tournament. Georgia should not have just made it, they should have been in as a 7-8-9 seed.

You think Middle Tennessee St would say they had a great year? Made it to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament. I'd say so. You think Duke would say they had a great year? Made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament... Hell no. Preseason #1. Thought they were snubbed from a 1 seed over UNC and Gonzaga.

2014 NIT was a good year for UGA. 2017 NIT was a horrible year for UGA
