Was actually doing work around the house listening to the gamecock broadcast. They've got a color analyst who's an alum player from the 60s, guy is just awesome to listen to as a baseball purist. Been their color guy for 30 yrs or so.

Have also been listening to the screaming SCu baseball fans on the afternoon talk shows. I think only LSU or maybe MSU has more passionate baseball fans. They talk college baseball all day long.

General consensus was that after last nights loss to us, cocks had to win 3 straight (2 vs us + 1 in SECT) to make the national tourney. On the broadcast tonight they kept saying how SC's post season chances were on life support. Bless em, they thought they were still in it at the end there.

So they want to fire Holbrook, who's been to 2 SuperRegionals in 5 years, but may miss the post season for the 2nd time in 5 years this year.

Two totally different levels of expectation & "fan"aticism. SS was going to get another yr because of the money anyway. These last 3 series just give Ears a different line to use. But it's hard to spin 4 losing seasons in 4 years.
