Bc Richt left us as the most underachieving program in America...


Or at least one of the top 2/3. UGA tops those underachieving polls every year now. The ones that get in magazines & blogs, and the informal ones you hear on talk shows. The latest one I heard was on a show driving out west a few weeks ago. Some LA talk show was bemoaning the underachievements of the Trojans, then the host asked for callers to bring up other underachievers. It was all Texas & Georgia.

In Sec & Acc country, we are the kings. "Nobody does less with more than Georgia." Hear it all the time.

Among the best recruiting classes, among the most players in the NFL. Yet they don't achieve anything in between.

Kirby is under so much pressure bc Richt went 10 years without any hardware. If Kirby could hoist that SEC trophy, even if we missed the playoffs (say a road loss @ ND & 2 sec losses, but still win the East)... it would blow the lid off this program.

Elite recruiting staff with hardware to show? We'd be on a rocket ride.
