Word broke he was "transferring" about 3 or 4 games into the Trojans season last year. Rumors were he hit Coach Helton, who later denied them. But something was going on with Price out there. "Home sickness" was what they all eventually agreed to call it.

Remember he had some nebulous issues he was dealing with here in HS too. There are still rumors that he got in trouble on a recruiting visit here and had his offer pulled, with the staff letting him "de-commit" a little later to save face.

All the way up to NSD there was info he wanted to re-commit but was unable. Then there was his signing ceremony, where every outlet covering the event remarked how miserable he looked picking USC.

And heck he might still be out there. Last I heard around spring, the USC fans were hoping he'd be there for summer drills. He's been talking about transferring since September, but after the semester ended he stayed, and he kept on hanging around enough so there was optimism he wouldn't leave.

Who knows. Maybe somebody else has fresher info. But the guy is surrounded by rumors all the time, one of which is that he was black balled by our staff. Is he really transferring? Would we even take him? Who knows.
