Prime example of why you never, ever redshirt a stud.
I know we had Brown & Lumpkin that year, but how can a staff look at a star like knowshon and not know he was the best of the bunch? Worst redshirt decision ever. As a result, we got a whole 2 years of production from him.
As for Herschel, people forget that his stats only count for 33 games. That's amazing. That's 159 yards per game averaged for 3 years.
For some reason the ncaa won't recognize his era's bowl stats. And now backs have the 12th game + bowls + playoffs if they get there.
Tebow broke Herschel's TD scoring record by just a couple. But he took 55 games to do it, as opposed to Herschel's 33.
