Absolutely pathetic offense
I think every single time we brought the ball up court - either from a rebound, or after a made shot - we did the exact same thing. About 5 or 10 feet past the half-court line, we passed it cross court to the other guard and let Fullerton trap us. We never tried to penetrate off the dribble, or pass it down low - regardless of the many times Maten/Ogbiede/Hammonds/Wilridge/Parker was open. Result was we'd fart around in the backcourt for 20-25 seconds and rush a low-percentage shot, or we'd turn the damn thing over. Raise your hand if you've seen that movie before.
And why did it take 15 minutes of game time before Fox realized there was something known as a zone defense?
Honestly, from a talent/experience/depth standpoint, this is one of the better rosters in UGA BB history. Most any decent coach would make some serious tournament noise with this team. And any half-assed coach would have rolled Fullerton last night.
I've been a big supporter of Fox thus far, but displays like last night have me shaking my head. An insufficient roster is no longer an excuse for this team.
