He's a good player, but we have higher targets on on our board. He was actually told by the staff that he couldn't sign early, but of course that hatchet article won't mention that.

What that means of course is basically the staff telling the kid that he's not really a priority. It's good that it gives the kid plenty of time to look for other options. And he can save face by saying it's his decision, but it's not. He's a good player but not nearly the "star recruit" that article was implying.

We'll replace him with a better prospect at that position. Just like Becton, a low 3-star that is going to be replaced by a much better prospect at his position, maybe a 5-star.
