If Bobo (or any other coach) comes in there and wins big from the git-go, he'd get offers from big-name programs from all over the country, a'la McElwain. He'd be very likely to jump ship, and they'd be starting from scratch all over again. What they really need is for a guy to slowly build the program and get themselves entrenched. Even Lubick - far and away their most successful coach ever - had a 6-loss season and another 7-win season within his first 4 years.
