doubt that bama wanted to face UGA vs OU because they liked the matchups better. Not saying he's wrong. In fact our coaches might rather face UA than CU for the same reason. While bama may have a talent advantage at some spots, most notably the secondary, we both run pretty much the same offensive and defensive schemes. Plus, the two position groups where depth comes into play during a game (barring injury) - DL and RB - are also comparable. I just don't see any clear match up advantages or disadvantages for either team. Seems like this game will come down to whoever wins the field position battle and/or turns the ball over least. Hardly rocket science but there just doesn't seem to be much else to look for.
