As you're all well aware, Mike Bobo is our HC and has mixed results over the last three seasons going 7-6 with 3 consecutive bowl losses. We RAMS fans have been tearing our hair out about how this season turned out but were at least given a glimmer of hope when our, to be perfectly honest, lousy former DC Marty English "decided" to retire after the season. We have been waiting for Bobo to name a new DC who by all accounts will have near total autonomy on that side of the ball and will have complete control in naming his staff-as Bobo completely cleaned house on that side of the ball. We at first had high hopes for Charles Kelly late of FSU now the new ST coordinator at Tenn (good luck with that dumpsterfire Charles). Now the scuttlebutt has been building that Glenn Schumann may be the guy. On our SportsWar board a few months ago, I put out a wishlist of guys I'd like to see as our DC and Coach Schumann was one of them because of his pedigree and coaching acumen. The question...What is the feeling down Georgia way that he might be moving westward for a promotion and significant raise? It's significant especially in light of our G5 status and our now greatly increased budget relative to other G5 schools. I'm on record as really, really wanting him as our new DC and with Bobo doing analysis on the Nat Champ Game telecast he might use that forum to announce the hire or at least hint strongly. Thoughts? Comments? Speculations?
