I respectfully disagree
This is a horribly coached (or more accurately UNcoached) team. Nine years in and we can't attack a zone defense. Nine years in and we can't inbound and advance the ball against a press. Nine years in and we don't fight over screens. Nine years in and we can't seem to run an effective offensive set. Nine years in and Fox can't seem to recognize which of his players are SEC caliber or not. It's supremely frustrating, and frankly pathetic.
This is a very good roster. We have talent. We have TONS of experience (seriously, how many teams have a SENIOR future NBAer on the roster?). We have all kinds of depth - we can legitimately go 10 deep. But we are constantly out-hustled, confused, and ineffective. It's happened over and over and over. For nine years. Not making the tournament with this roster is unrecoverable for a coach. Period.
I've been in Fox's corner from the git go, he's a good guy and the kind of guy you want to pull for (sound familiar?). But he is not getting it done. There is so much potential for our program that a good coach could realize. Both Tubby and Harrick (his being a shyster notwithstanding) proved that. This season is the proverbial last straw. It's time for a change. I can't imagine any argument for his staying.
