Huh?

13 of LSU's first 16 plays were called passes, so how does anyone know if they couldn't run? And they got 11 yards on those first 3 runs, which isn't horrible. They ended up with 165 yards on 32 rushes for an avg of 5.2 per.

Clemson opened up with a junk defense: 3 DL, 1 LB, 7 DBs (was that genius or desperation on Clemson's part?) and that stymied Burrow on their first 3 possessions. But once they adjusted, they scored TDs on 4 of their next 5 possessions and the rout was on. So yes, you have to adjust. But LSU looked like they could have and would have done whatever they wanted against Clemson.
