I would agree with you. If one went to an FBS scool

They will likely only follow FBS ball. Folks that went to an FCS school will likely follow both. Folks that went to neither follow FBS. Since FCS scools are generally small, there just isn't that much of an audience and why FCS conferences don't get big fat TV contracts.
