He NEEDS to win 9 regular season games......

Clearly he needs some time to get his recruits and get his system installed to make a run at SEC Championship, as some has said, that would be year #3.

But in YEAR #1, assuming no great adversity with injuries and / or suspensions, no reason we should not win 9 games. Richt last 2 teams won 10 games each, and both had SIGNIFICANT adversity with injuries. Coach Smart needs to and should win 9 games in regular season,

Winning game #1 certainly would make it MUCH easier to get to 9 regular season wins. One of the toss up games for sure.
