Think the expectations would be about the same but for different reasons. Richt would return a pedestrian offense which is now without it's top two backs, at least for a while. DL would still be an issue. We'd have the same hope for our Fr QB. What we 'lose' from continuity of staff and system under Richt, we 'gain' from renewed enthusiasm and attention to detail under Smart. The difference I think is that if richt were still coach, people would expect to lose to UT, OM, UF and probably another. With Kirby, people believe we have a chance to win the UT and OM games, will likely beat UF and won't have a crap your pants game elsewhere. So I'd say people would expect 8-4 under Richt this year and 9-3 seems to be the feeling about kirby's first year.
