Not Buying it Gulf!!!

I have no issues with giving Kirby some leeway and expect him to take some lumps but he is a defensive minded coach. Pruitt came in here 3 years ago and spewed the same venom (culture, strength and conditioning, different type players, no depth) but put a fairly productive defensive team on field that played hard.

We did NOT play hard or well on defensive side of ball on Saturday. We have 6-8 returning DB's (some of which are talented) and have looked very poor for 2 weeks in a row. We do have talent on D side of ball, and do have some depth. We are playing 18-20 guys.

Nobody is ready to throw the towel on Kirby but he needs to get the defensive side of ball in gear. Play some zone, overload one side, show one package and do something else.

We need to have a competitive game on Saturday, with both sides of ball, especially the defense coming to play!!
