run a pro offense and a 3-4, multiple defense. We won 10 games last year against a bunch of bad teams and looked bad doing it. We return the same OL that wasn't good and lose the front 7 on defense. We return the secondary that the former DC said was masked by a DL full of seniors and two OLB's starting in the NFL. Everyone seemed to think that just because Kirby was going to run the same basic systems that all would be OK and all of the above somehow wouldn't matter. Surprise, it does. CMR left talent scattered throughout the roster while also leaving a mess. Even if the coaches suddenly wanted to run completely different systems, they don't have the personnel to do it. Neither do they have to personnel to play man up football. Kirby has assembled a well respected and experienced staff. I expect them to earn their salaries and won't refrain from criticizing them if they screw up but other than one time out called that shouldn't have been and didn't matter, I haven't seen them screw up something. They thought they had the team ready for Nichols and clearly didn't so you can blame them for not knowing the team better but that's about it.
