I appreciate your post, too, because it speaks to the entire picture. Our recruiting base was in severe need of restructure even before the previous coach departed, and in leaving he did not leave the all-important line of scrimmage in the condition he was able to inherit from Jim Donnan (which was, basically, the last time UGA had a solid 3-deep LOS).

Without beating the proverbial dead horse, and with respect to all involved including past and present players and coaches, our line of scrimmage could be legitimately compared to some of the weaker ones we have ever had, and that includes those of the 1990s. It just is what it is, and it will not go away soon.

In fact, the 2017 offensive line will be almost brand-spanking new next year with the exception of some layover players who may have a start or two under their belts (e.g., Dyshon Simms, Lamont Galliard). With the hopes our fanbase has, it is a mockery and irresponsible to not have the kind of O-lineman on hand when you have great players like we have at QB & RB.

UGA fans need to accept that the restrengthening of our LOS won't and cannot and should not happen over night. We have to grow stronger in a legitimate fashion. I think 2018 could be a pretty good year for UGA, anything sooner a pleasant surprise.
