1) Richt ain't got nothing to do with it. I agree it was time for a change. Just make a good one.
2) Can't argue with Bobo as a candidate; or Brohm at WKy, Herman at Houston, Fleck at W Mich, or several others. At least TRY to give the impression you're conducting an actual search.
3) Understood, but history does have a way of repeating. Kirby will have to break the mold. Right now he's behind the 8-ball.
4) Has he not had a dozen chances so far? We looked OK against UNC, pretty good against Aub, and looked like a steaming pile of hot mess in pretty much all of the others. If lightning strikes and we win the SEC next year or 2018, then fine, no one will care or remember what was said here. But if he continues to struggle, the difference between our program struggling for 3 years instead of say 6 or 7 may very well depend on how much pressure is put on the administration. The main reason we continue to underachieve as a program is because so many people make excuses for mediocre performance.
