Wouldn't take long to "catch up"

A single guy like Carter, Sexton, or Walker this year would make an immediate impact on the team, and enable us to compete at a higher level from day one. We just gotta recruit these guys. For whatever reason, Fox does not get them to Athens. And there are plenty of these guys in state every year too. In recent years, Georgia has produced Alterique Gilbert, Kobi Simmons, Jaylen Brown, Malik Beasley, Ahmed Hill, Tony Parker, Jaron Blossomgame, etc. Just ONE of these guys added to our roster of four star and upper-three star guys would put us over the top in all of those close-but-no-cigar games we’ve been in over the last several years. It wouldn’t turn us into Kentucky all of a sudden, but we would go from mid-pack in the SEC to the 2nd/3rd/4th range and would be in the tourney most years. Then in-state guys would start to WANT to come here. Two of the top 3 in-state guys for next year have already committed out of state. It’s absolutely ridiculous, and it’s every stinking’ year. We gotta get a high energy guy who can sign our home-grown talent. He’s out there, we just gotta make the effort to get him.
