Fox is a god awful recruiter because he doesn't attempt to recruit


It's been said that he doesn't show up. He doesn't contact the kids. He doesn't go to games like he should. He sends Jonas and Yasir to go out and recruit and doesn't make face. You think there is ever a week or weekend that goes by when Cal is not at a HS game? Or an AAU game? Or a basketball camp over the summer? He's out there letting the kids know "I'm here. I want you." These kids don't know who the fuck Mark Fox is. He's supposed to be "the guy". He's the head coach. It's great to have assistants that can get on the road and recruit and sell, but as the HC you have to be the main guy in basketball.
